Can't install Office for Mac Preview

Hi folks, I was able to download Microsoft's Office for Mac preview. However, when I try to open the pkg file, nothing happens. I realize this is an Apple community but I couldn't find any other places to ask this question. Has anyone else encountered this issue or know how to resolve it? I don't get any error messages, it just fails to open. I'm on a MacBook Pro Retina with OS X Yosemite 10.2.2. Thanks.

As Office is not an Apple product, I strongly recommend asking in the Microsoft Office:Mac forums here:

Office for Mac

Everyone there is a Mac user AND an Office user, something you can't say about Apple's forums. You will get the fastest help there and I think you will find the contributors more than helpful.
