View devices currently on my network from iPad?

is so there a way to view all the devices currently on my network from an ipad. Does this require a special app, or is there a protocol in settings?

iPad Air, iOS 8.1.3

No, you cannot see all the devices on your network from you iPad without an App. I use Netanalyzer but it only shows IP addresses and a device name. If that is all you need it will work. The free version may not provide that feature as I am using the paid version.
