Entered my serial number W87460V3YAM and MACBOOK PRO (15-INCH 2.4/2.2GHZ) comes up, but how do I tell if it is early or late 2008? Trying to purchase memory.

Thanks. We bought it in Fall 2008 new, but I guess it was an older version then. How can you tell the year? Just trying to educate myself.
Also, the ram installed in the computer now is 667MHz. Does the new ram need to be 667 or can it be faster? Upgrading from two to four. Also have heard it might be possible to upgrade to 6 with a 4 and a 2. Is that right? Thanks so much

1. Click on 'mid-2007 MacBook Pro' above; the last three characters of the computer's serial number uniquely identify its model.
2. It probably needs to be 667MHz.
