HP LaserJet 1160 // Unable to add to printing system

Can not see HP LaserJet 1160 in printing system (Running Mavericks on an iMac)

Mac running OS 10.9.5 (Mavericks)

HP LaserJet 1160 monochrome printer (connected via USB)

Can not see HP LaserJet 1160 to add it to the printing system.

I have been running Mavericks (10.9.4) for over a year, and this printer has

worked fine. I just used it last weekend. On Tuesday the HP would not

respond. In an attempt to fix the problem I reset the printing system.

Now I am unable to add the HP back to the printing system.

I have tried:

• Running software update (ASU)

• Changed USB port

• Restarted both the computer and printer

• Look for drivers on HP website

* Posted this in HP forms

Where do I find printer drivers supported by Mavericks?
