iphone photos not appearing in iphoto when connected to laptop

I have my phone connected to my laptop, it shows up in the devices part of iphoto, but when i click it no pictures from my phone appear? i need to import them but they're not showing up!! i've unlocked my phone, turned it on and off, etc.

Hi,

Hmm..it should automatically sync your photos. But sometimes, the problem might be from your iPhoto. Check if your iPhoto on both devices is updated. Try restarting your computer too. I think updating the iPhoto on both devices is probably the fix. Try giving it a shot.
