I have a white Macbook purchased in September 2008 and recently I had it completely cleared out and updated my software to Snow Leopard. When I click About this Mac it says OS X version 10.6.8, will I be able to install Mavericks and if so how?

A white 2008 MacBook can't be upgraded past Lion 10.7.5.

Thanks for your reply Niel,

If I upgrade to Lion 10.7.5 will I be able to download Pages? It won't allow me to do so from the AppStore at the moment

The Mac App Store version of Pages won't work on 10.7.5. Buy an iWork 09 DVD from a source such as Amazon or eBay.

Hi Everybody, I have the same problem and went yesterday to Istore in Sandton (South Africa), no one could explain to me what Neil has explained technically.

Can I install Xcode 1 on the OS X 10.7.5?
