macbook pro late 2009 upgrade

recently i change my Hard Drive and the dealer suggest me change my Hard drive to a "flash" Drive. Is recommended?

it is convenient? for an old computer

You can't install a flash drive in that model, but you can install an SSD or Solid State Drive. I suggest you visit OWC to find a suitable SSD for your model as well as online video tutorials on installing a new drive. An SSD is much faster than any HDD, but also more expensive. It would make your computer snappier and quicker.
