left side cooling of MBP

My MBP 15" 2010 model heats up a lot only on the left side. is there a cooling pad / fan tray that will focus on cooling this side only since my objective is to even out the temperature of the whole laptop.

The left side of your MBP under the palm rest has the hard drive and upper left front is the dc in board. It is normal for that to be a little warmer than the rest. But if it is very hot , you might have a problem. You have two fans. one left center and one right center. If one of the fans is not working well or has dust or something clogging it. it could run hotter. If you download a fan app such as SMC fan control. You could see if both fans are working and what temp you are running. Here is a take apart that shows what is under the keyboard top cover.https://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/MacBook+Pro+15-Inch+Unibody+Mid+2010+Teardown/22 12
