App Store Redeem function isn't working for me today

Hi,

iPhone 6+, iOS 8.1.3

I've used this feature before, but today if I try to redeem an App - where the cards are given out at Starbucks - I launch the App Store, touch Redeem and the next form is blank with a persistently spinning cursor. The nearby "Apps Made by Apple and "Send Gift" functions, for example, work just fine. I've killed the app and relaunched and I get the same result. Usually, you are brought to a form where you can elect to use your camera (or not) to copy in the Download code. I have excellent WiFi reception and moderately good cellular reception at this location.

Is this just me or did I miss something?
