I cannot update any apps

I have an iPhone 4s that runs with a version of 8.1.3 ios, and no matter what I do I cannot update any of my apps that need to be updated. I have tried updating using my wireless, connected to my computer, and nothing works at all. I don't want to delete any of the apps and then reinstall the if I don't have to, so any suggestions would be welcomed. Thanks
