Can not send email on ipad

i have always used my iPad to send emails. Now I can not. I have checked account settings for outgoing server. I have downloaded new updated browser. I have restarted I pad. I have tried to contact support and was told to update my browser.! as mine was unsupported. Between getting serial number, checking everything I still can't send email. It says SMTP.aol.com is incorrect. I tried deleting and reinstalling users.

Updated the browser? Which browser? What does that have to do with getting Mail in the mail app on the iPad? Mail settings on the iPad are entered when you set up an account with the mail app. If you are sending and receiving mail in a browser, those settings would already be in place on the server and have no bearing on the mail app.


Where are you trying to send and receive emails? In the mail app or in a web browser like Safari or Mercury?
