Q: In screen sharing I am not seeing vmc computer name. I am seeing an IP address

I am setting up screen sharing with a client. Both computers are iMacs upgraded to Yosemite. I have iMac set up properly.  On the client iambic I have done the same procedure but when I am done it is showing an IP address or vmc://192.168.1.6  instead of vmc://my-computer/. What am I doing wrong?

    is this like two computers plugged into the same wired router? or two clients plugged into the same router by ethernet?

    Or is this like two computers trying to talk to each other over the internet?

     

    Are you only having this issue inside of VMC? or is it also happening in the network browser?
