Q: First build in 'build order' defaults to 'on click' every time I edit any part of a build

When I work on a slide build order in Keynote v6.2.2, using the floating 'build order' box (not the side bar) then play the slide, the first build of the slide always defaults to 'on click'. If I then change the 'on click' to 'after transition' again and edit the build lower down the list, the first build still defaults automatically back to 'on click'. Can't find this in preferences. It's more annoying than killing me but anyone else got this issue? Any help, please?

This happens to me, only if I change the order of the first build, if I change anything else the first build is not changed.  There is no setting to change this.

Previous and the latest version of Keynote do not have this issue.

Thanks for the answer Gary. Unfortunately, this happens in my version whichever build number I change. The first build always defaults to 'on click'. You think it's only the 6.6.2 version though?

I use Keynote 5.3, 6.2.2 and 6.5.2 and its only 6.2.2 that has this issue.

For me its not much of a problem, however, it would be worth resetting Keynote:

Delete Keynote from Applications folder  > restart the Mac > re-install Keynote from Mac App Store.

    I have this issue too.

Whenever I rearrange any animations at all, it causes the first one on the slide to revert back to 'on click'.  It amounts to an extra step to every edit.

Tried re-installing Keynote (thanks Gary!) but alas, the problem is still exhibited identically.

Seems like this is just how it's designed (?) Hope it's fixed in a future update! It certainly doesn't seem an advantageous setting...
