Q: How can I track my stolen iPhone in Cancun, Mexico?

I got my iPhone stolen in Cancun, Mexico when I was in The City Nightclub Tuesday night, March 3rd 2015. I have it on Airplane Mode and when I checked the "find my iphone" app, it said my phone is "offline"(I'm assuming that the battery is dead). I am back in America but I am willing to do anything to find my phone. I signed into my iCloud and put it on Lost Mode but it said I have to wait until it is connected to the internet. Are there any other options to track my phone? If so, what steps should I take? My carrier is verizon wireless. Thank you!!

    There is nothing to do other than check Find My iPhone from time to time. This Apple article has some info: If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch is lost or stolen - Apple Support

    Report the theft to Verizon so they are aware and can blacklist your phone.

    Hi Lyssa;

    No kidding - I found an Apple IPhone 5S at the same nightclub (The City in Cancun, Mexico). I found it on the dancefloor at Steve Aoki I believe on March 16th. To be frank, I didn't want to return it to the nightclub management and I tried my hardest to ask everyone in my vicinity if it belonged to them. It has a passcode and doesn't have cellular reception in Canada and thus I cannot communicate with it's owner. I would like to ship it to its owner, unfortunately I am out of ideas! When I plug the iPhone into my laptop it displays the person's name (_____'s iPhone); I tried contacting people with the same name through social media but again to no avail. Suggestions?

    There's really nothing you can do. Apple won't tell you anything about that phone. You can turn it in to the local authorities or the nightclub. It's nothing more than a brick to you anyway.
