Do you need a Mac to access an iDVD item in an email ?   If yes, can you file an item so it can be read by others ?

Hello Old Toad, good to know you are still around…. you have helped me before.

In 2009 I made a film (movie) Hope of a group of retirees (I was one of them) playing a golf competition.   Recently one of the members (not me) has undertaken to write a "history" of this social group (which started in 1996 and still going) . The history will include items like this DVD in order to give new members a flavour of the spirit of the group.     They do not all have Macs, so this film and one or two other items will be lost if I can not pass on some items which would be a significant section of the "history"

Hope you can point me in the right direction

Reading what I have just written, I se that the Mac has done one of it's "clever" things which nowadays is very annoying…….  it decides that what I have written is not what I wanted to say based on its "superior" know-how.

I this happens to you and you know how to silence these intrusions, let me know…..

If you want to get the movie/slideshow that is in the video DVD that you crated you'll have to rip it from the DVD disk that you burned or from the disk image if you created one. To do the ripping the free Handbrake will do the job. You'll have it in movie form that you can email (if it's not too large for the email servers) to whomever.
