Q: Receive Facetime Call on Mac when screen off

I have an imac 2007 intel, and macbook pro 2010, both running yosemite.

I have no problems seeing I have an incoming facetime call if the mac is on, or the screen is locked.

On both macs I have no way to tell there is an incoming call if the screen is off. The macs are on not sleeping.

Is there anyway to tell there is an incoming call if the screen is not on.

Howdy andjoa,

You can set a ringtone for FaceTime calls on your Mac using the steps in this article -

FaceTime for Mac (Yosemite): Set ringtones

Hi Brett
Thanks for that, however I still can't see or hear anything if the screen
is off. I can see and hear the call coming in if the screen is on.
