There is limit to the size of the individual files on iCloud drive. No file must be larger than 15GB.

thanks for the quick answers, I'm comparing the clouds, Microsoft OneDrive has a limitation of 20000 files

Apple does not state a limit for he number of files, iCloud Drive FAQ - Apple Support

The bigger restriction will be what you are willing to pay for your storage plan. 1TB is the upper limit on storage.
