how to re-enable a previously disabled java plugin?

I disabled the Java plugin, as recommended, due to security concerns, and I now need to re-enable it, but cannot remember how or where to go to do so.

Thank you Dominic. This showed me where I went to disable Java and I then remembered those screens. But when I went to Safari > Pref.>Security to check the box to allow Java, it was not there anymore! I clicked on Manage Website Settings to look for it in the list of plugins, and it is missing, yet I found it with Finder in Library>Internet Plugins where it is listed as JavaAppletPlugin.plugin, along with the rest of the plugins. However, I did notice that under "Kind", it says Alias and when I go to Get Info, the Permissions and Sharing section is not there, the pane cuts off after Preview. The other article said to go to the Apple menu>System Preferences and to then choose View>Java, except after choosing System Preferences, View is not a choice, so I am not sure what they are talking about, but I could not get to the Java Control Panel that way. Maybe there is another way to access the Java Control Panel?
