Library/Accounts/Access: Is this malware? TencentWeiboAccessPlugin?

MacBook Pro - 2009 -10 - Yosemite 10.10.2

Hi I have had some security issues with computer ip connecting all over us, china and japan.

Also my iPhone appeared to be hacked, data usage off charts.

Recently had someone do a clean back up to a November 2014 TimeMachine, when I thought trouble started

Under Library/Accounts/Access I have the following plugins

Is the TencentWeiboAccessPlugin a trojan?

From previous searches Tencent QQ seemed to be some sort of Trojan virus.

Can I delete these plugins safely? I'm not a Facebook User, I do use LinkedIn.

It's not part of OS X, so you can delete it.

No, it is not. This actually IS a normal part of Mac OS X, although you've given the wrong path for it. (It's in /System/Library/Accounts/...)

I don't know what security problems you have had, or whether they are actually security problems at all, but the worst possible thing you can do is start going through folders on your hard drive whose purposes and contents you don't understand and questioning whether things there are malware. That way lies madness... and, probably, damage to your system that will require reinstallation. It is best to describe the problems and allow the experts to give you advice on solving them.

Thank you to all who have responded.

I am most definitely a novice. However I am the type of person who can never rest until I get to the bottom of something. This is proving to be a disability in terms of computer troubleshooting and peace of mind.... Searching for a needle in the haystack is maddening.

I could further describe the hacking issues if you'd like. Though it's a long story...maybe in another post.

What is the TencentWeibo bundle connect to? The other plugins are self-explanatory.

My own $0.02 would be to always work on either a clone or after you clone the system so you have a safety net or image of how the system was.

When in doubt, do a clean install on another drive. Always good to have handy (and never alter that, use it as a master image)

And you could compare the new clean system to yours. There are tools to help show differences in the two.

A bit more information.

I had a solid state drive installed and am slowly bring things back from my backup drive.

When I realized I was hacked, several things were occurring. One was that my Character viewer (on mac) had Chinese selected as well as English. There were some subcategories of other languages that were greyed out but had appeared to have been selected at some time.

The related articles link (thank you for that) causes me to be concerned about the Tencent Weibo plugin on my mac. (it doesn't appear on my iPhone settings)

First, please note that it's extremely unlikely that you were hacked. That's why it's important to describe the symptoms of whatever problem you're having, and leave out your interpretation of what might be causing those problems. It simplifies the issue and allows us to focus on the solution.

I'm not sure why you had Chinese selected as a language, but there are plenty of explanations that do not involve hacking, and none that I can think of that do involve hacking.

I'm not sure why. There's nothing in the link you refer to that should cause any concern. Tencent Weibo is just a Chinese social media network:
