Q: Hi, I just created an apple Id account and someone has already used it to buy ibooks! Help, looks like my account has been hacked!

Received an email:

our Apple ID, xxxxxx, was just used to download iBooks from the App Store on a computer or device that had not previously been associated with that Apple ID.

If you initiated this download, you can disregard this email. It was only sent to alert you in case you did not initiate the download yourself.

If you did not initiate this download, we recommend that you go toiforgot.apple.com to change your password, then see Apple ID: Security and your Apple ID for further assistance.

Thanks Jay-Ray - but seeing I only just did this y'day, who's to say the hacker doesn't have access to this new information?

Though changed password, don't have much confidence in Apple right now...and it's really annoying the way they force you to add your credit card information - then provide support only during business hours!

Thanks so much Jay-Ray!! The email from apple was very confusing! My new iphone must be the device that hasn't been used before!!

Will keep an eye on visa just in case ; )
