Change it from showing my email address on iMessage

I would like for someone to tell me how to change it from showing my email address when I message someone using iMessage from my Mac to someones iPhone? They tell me just my email address comes up and that's annoying to me. Thanks.

Hi,

On the Mac > Messages > Preferences > Accounts > iMessages account.

If you only have the Apple ID (email) then you will not see the Start Conversation From drop down.

If you have linked it to your iPhone Number then you will see the drop down at the bottom and you can change it to the iPhone Number.
