What year did Apple start using term "vintage?"

I have been using apple computers since 93 and remember that term came at a certain point but I don't want to be wrong in case I write about it.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Your PowerMac G4 or G5 with an ADC port (presuming you still have either) should have an ADC connector that would power that Apple cinema 30" display without the adapter/brick. That would tell you if it is working.
