project update

I have created a project from a folder that is synchronized with my camera (i.e. Folder is synchronized with the camera to add only new pictures). However, when I add new photo's to the folder, how do I update that in Aperture? I cannot find the answer and the photos so added does not appear in Aperture. Maybe I am doing something wrong.
