Text Issues

My text messages on my (iPhone 6) to other iPhone user(s) appear with my email address instead of my phone #. How do I change this? I removed the check mark next to my email address under the iMessage settings, but then I could not send a message to the user. I also, would receive a message on my iPod but not on my iPhone. This issue started once I activated my iphone6 prior to I was able to resolve this issue myself with the iPhone 4S.

Hello kheard96,

So to make sure we are on the same page, you are not able to send out iMessages with your phone number and they are going out as your email address. If you have made sure that in Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and in the Start New Conversation From section your phone number is set you should be good to go. I would also make sure to actual delete the current message thread as that has you down for your email and not your phone number. Check out the articles below for more information.
