Mail problems over wifi with Macbook

Having issues sending mail over wifi with Yosemite. Mails get stuck in outbox and message shows that 'Connections to the server “p03-smtp.mail.me.com” on the default ports timed out '

What can i do to fix this. Everything is fine when I send mail's with my phone without wifi.

Thank you

Hello teds4,

Since your computer is timing out with your specified server it sounds like your computer wants a different outgoing mail server.

iCloud: Mail server settings for email clients - Apple Support

SMTP information for the outgoing mail server

  • Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
  • SSL Required: Yes
If you receive errors when using SSL, try using TLS or STARTTLS instead.
  • Port: 587
  • SMTP Authentication Required: Yes
  • Username: Your full iCloud email address (for example, emilyparker@icloud.com, not emilyparker)
  • Password: Your iCloud password

Best,

Nubz
