Q: iTunes has just wiped apart from purchased music. Can I restore my iPod?

Grrrrrr. This has happened to me too many times now. After installing an update about a week ago, I go on to iTunes to find all my music from CDs has completely disappeared, with only purchased music remaining.

Luckily, my iPod doesn't yet mirror my iTunes and has all the music on. Is there a way I can transfer the music from my iPod on to iTunes?

Any help would be much appreciated!!

Hello Abi94,

Wow! That definitely sounds frustrating. If the content disappeared after updating, chances are that it still resides on your computer and iTunes has just lost “communication” with the files. Check out the steps in the following resource to see if they provide a solution:

Thanks for your help!

I'm not quite sure exactly what I did, but I've somehow managed to find a back-up from 6 months ago which is better than it sounds (otherwise I was looking at Feb 14 as my last one).
