transfer ibook author file between Macs

Recently changed model of Mac and although I carried out Migrate Assistant routine (yes wifi takes days, ethernet is faster, I found that out the hard way) along with iPhoto files iBook Author failed to transfer across leaving my sizzling novel on the Mac now in my sons room.

My question is do I have to bring the old Mac down and go through MA allover again or is there a quicker way?

foreseeing that MA may not completely bring my files over i have ensured my original profile remains on old Mac
