Has anyone installed a replacement battery obtained through the iFixit company in a MacBookPro of 2012 vintage?
Is it relatively straight forward? Are there any steps that involve special skill?
IFixIt says that battery is an Apple OEM so that's OK. Replacing the battery is pretty straight forword.
The main problem is the TriLobe screws that hold the battery in. In many instances I've found one of the screw anchors broken. IFixIt can supply the necessary screw driver.
How easy is it to use iFixit supplied replacement battery in a MacBookPro?
