I just bought a Ford today and was excited to try out the SYNC system with my iPhone 6.
I went to download AppLink from the Appstore and it's gone! Does anybody know what happened? Is Apple leaving all of its Ford drivers in the dust since Ford has its own software?

I don't believe that AppLink is the name of an app in the App Store. It is the name of the Ford technology used to connect to some smartphone applications using voice commands. There is more information at http://owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-technology/sync/sync-applink/sync-applink-ove rview.html

FYI:
Apple does not control 3rd party Apps. What Ford does with their Apps is up to them.
In any case, AppLink is not an App, its a technology used by several different Apps and Ford's Sync software in your Car.
