Mar 10, 2015 11:14 AM in response to Najibitby ReillyRae,Hi Najibit,
I am having the same problem with my MacBook Air '11 early 2014! My computer will only work if it is plugged in with the power adapter. If I bump the cord or knock it out... the computer automatically shuts off. I've only had my computer for about two and half months. My computer is saying that the battery is 100% charged. You are also the first person that I've been able to find with the same problem. I'm going to take it back to the store and see if I can exchange it. I wish I had some kind of information to help you, but I am at a loss myself. I don't know what would be causing it. It was working fine and then all of a sudden stopped working unless it was plugged into the power adapter.

Mar 10, 2015 12:40 PM in response to Najibitby my ginger,Have you done a SMC reset to see if that helps or even a pram reset? SMC reset is Command/Option/Shift and power key for 10 seconds at startup. Pram is Command/Option/P/R keys for three chimes at startup. Have you looked in system management under power to see how many cycle counts you have? Does your mag safe show maybe a very faint green? If you hold down the option key and click on the battery icon does it say normal? You could have a defective battery. If nothing works ,take it in to apple and have them check it out. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203207

Mar 10, 2015 1:04 PM in response to my gingerby ReillyRae,First... I want to say thank you for everyones help ! I'm impressed with how quick everyone has responded.
I purchased my Mac at Best Buy. Spoke to someone from Best Buy and they said they might able to help, regarding exchanging it.
I have tried the SMC reset and no luck. Everything is good with the Mag Safe. And I just checked the battery icon and it says normal. Thats a new feature that I just discovered...(option and click the battery icon) so thank you!

Mar 10, 2015 1:10 PM in response to my gingerby ReillyRae,Also tried the PRAM reset and that didn't work either. Where do I find the cycle counts?
I also made an appointment with Apple for next week in case Best Buy's not able to do anything.
