trigger Mp3 while playing another patch

Hi,

I want to keep playing a patch and be able to trigger a sound effect over it that needs to continue

as I play. I am fairly new to MS so I appreciate any help on this.

I took the sound effect and made it an Mp3. I can trigger in my set list it but i need to keep it sounding under the other sound.

One way to do it would be to convert to a WAV file and make an EXS24 instrument 1-shot sample and trigger it from a key or pad. It will continue to play for the duration of the sample when you change patches.

Also put the channel strip with the sound at the Set or Concert level, so you can freely change patches.
