Mar 12, 2015 9:42 AM in response to Jessetwby brenden dv,Hello Jessetw,
I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on exactly what you are describing, or what is happening after the request for admin privileges. If you are having issues updating your iTunes software on your Windows machine, you may find the information and steps outlined in the following articles helpful:
Update to the latest version of iTunes - Apple Support
If you can't install or update iTunes for Windows - Apple Support
Sincerely,
- Brenden

Mar 12, 2015 10:37 AM in response to Jessetwby turingtest2,For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

Mar 14, 2015 9:43 AM in response to brenden dvby Jessetw,Brendan, when I open Apple Software Update, it asks for Administrator Privileges. My sister has the same software on her computer and it doesn't ask for administrator privileges. Also, the last time I used Apple Software Update, it was not installing the latest updates. There has to be a fix for this.

Mar 14, 2015 10:15 AM in response to Jessetwby turingtest2,The difference may be due to the settings of User Access Control on each of your respective computers. You can always download the correct version directly. Doing so may also refresh Apple Software Update.

Mar 14, 2015 1:56 PM in response to turingtest2by Jessetw,I think I have it fixed. It has stopped asking for admin privileges now. Also, my software of iTunes was the latest because I had just reinstalled it. The other problem I was having is that it wasn't installing the latest updates. But, hopefully that's fixed now. I will report back if I have anymore problems.
