How do I address Shockwave Player Error message?

How do I correct this issue on my iMac?

I get the following message when I open Safari/Preferences/Privacy:

Shockwave Player Error

To view the movie, open your browser in the 32-bit mode.

1) In Safari, select Applications/Safari in the Finder

and click More Info.

2) Ensure that Open in 32-bit mode is selected.

3) Re-launch the browser.

I ran the test available at Adobe.com [ https://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/ ] to find out what version of Shockwave I have on my computer, and I have the current version: 16,0,0,305

Finally, the Shockwave Player Error message is obsolete for the current OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 which I have running on my computer; case in point, under Safari Preferences there is no 'Applications' in Safari; and if you go to the computer's Applications folder and select 'Get Info' and then drop down 'More Info' you just get the date and time the browser was last opened.
