Something wrong with ipod screen and it makes me sad. HELP!

I have the newest iPod, whatever that is. The screen on my iPod is all black and unresponsive. Siri used to work but no longer dose and when it's plugged into my computer I can hear the noise from the power button but see nothing. HELP! Please!

When this first happened it was dead and when I plugged it in to charge the screen went a weird dark blue colour. Later after a bit of charging when I tried to turn my iPod on it would quickly flash a glitchy apple symbol then nothing.

I'm in a hurry, even if I could get my music on another iPod that would help, but I can't figure out how to do that because nothing on my iPod was backed up 😟

No idea why this happened, one time I noticed the screen was a bit wet, could this of cased it? So far I've tried letting it die completely then plugging it in... Nothing.

You can reset the Ipod by holding the lock screen button on the the top of the Ipod and the square button. Hold for several seconds.

If you go to an Apple store in-between the first year of purchase they may be able to fix your issue.

If there is water damage they will know. There is a sensor for water damage and may void the warranty.

There is a software Copytrans.net that will copy your music files off a device if you do not have your device synced with your iTunes.

That is if there is no damage.

Hi Amy. You can try to restore your iPod by DFU mode,

1)Run iTunes on your PC or Mac.

2)Keep Holding Power Button for 5s and continue to hold Home button together for 10s.

3)Release Holding power button but still keep holding the home button about 15s.

4) iTunes will show "detected a device by recovery mode"

5) Click to Restore.

Regards,

Anson

Thanks for your quick response!

I have tired resetting it but no luck as for saving my music I singed my apple id into another iPod and did a bunch of button tapping I'll never remember but I think I got it somewhere safe or safer anyways.

I think I might have to bring my iPod to the apple store sense the warty is still good, because my iPods only like 4 months old but it its water damage and they cant help I will defiantly not be buying another apple product. I hate how their all closed off so when something goes wrong you can't fix it own your own.

I have the 4th generation iPod touch, too. also the battery is not good and it will drop down from 100% to 20%,10% or below randomly, and it can be charged to 100% in a short time. I went to Apple Retail Store to change a battery and it's better now but you should be attention to confirm if there's still battery changing for iPod 4th by Apple Store.
