My iPhone 5 won't stop freezing and randomly rebooting

My perfectly good iPhone 5 has suddenly just decided that it's going to completely freeze a few times a day, which can only be remedied with a hard restart. The length of time it takes for the phone to reboot is maddeningly long. It also likes to reboot out of the blue a few times a day. All of the software updates have been installed, but it just keeps happening. I don't know what to do anymore. I swear these things are set to occur by design to get people to upgrade their hardware.

Has anyone else had these issues and found any solutions?
