I am trying to update one of my apps but when I get asked to sign into the Mac App Store I get a "Status_Code_Error" appear in red letters to the bottom of the login window. I tried to email Apple Support but I get an Error 99 when using their support page. However, their Service Status page says everything is UP. Is anybody else having any similar issues in the UK right now?

I'm in Korea currently and I have a same issue. I've tried to log in with US and Korean account, but it didn't work for both. Since I read your question, I guess it might be a problem of app store itself.
I'm getting the same message. HOWEVER, I was able to install the latest Security Update, but NOT iMovie. That is when I get STATUS_CODE_ERROR.

Yep, me too. Mac App Store STATUS_CODE_ERROR. I am also having problems with iTunes store - "cannot complete iTunes store request, store is temporarily unavailable, try again later." Despite what the status page says they're clearly having issues.

Agreed - I was trying to install updates for the iWork/iLife (or whatever they're called now) bundle of apps.

I'm also having the same problem in Denmark. 10Gbit/10Gbit connection, no firewalls blocking or anything.
