Hello. Is there a way to add the iCloud Drive folder directly to the dock? The only way I can see to access it is through Finder or through iCloud.com. I'd like to be able to access as I would a documents folder of items on my hard drive that I dragged into the dock. Thanks.

True, I wanted to imply, that adding iCloud Drive to the Dock is not possible, and adding it to the sidebar is the way that works best.
We can drag any subfolder of iCloud Drive to the Dock, and if we open it, go to the enclosing folder. or we can open the user library and drag ~/Library/Mobile Documents to the Dock, essentially the iCloud Drive Folder, but it will not let us navigate iCloud Drive as easily as the sidebar in the Finder does.

You can add iCloud Drive to the Sidebar in the Finder Window. Set this in the Finder Preferences.
To open the Finder Preferences, select any Finder window, then click the Finder menu in the main menu bar, and select Preferences, or enter the shortcut ⌘,
You can now pull the "Mobile Documents" shortcut off of the Dock and let it poof away. You must temporarily put it there on the Dock, though, because that's the only way (so far as I've found) that you can actually navigate to the iCloud Drive directly and see it in a list of folders, which is what you need if you are to drag and drop it on the Dock. If you just try to double-click on the Mobile Documents folder from within Finder, the iCloud Drive folder will just pop open in its own window and then you're stuck again with no way of pulling it down to the Dock.
For some reason, though, the more circuitous route above works.

Hi. You can also just reorganise your iCloud Drive to make all your folders and files sit within a single root folder called 'iCloud Drive' or whatever you like. You can then just drag that to your Dock in the normal way and will give you access to your whole iCloud Drive direct from the Dock. This method means an extra click when you open iCloud Drive from the sidebar in Finder though, as you've then got to select your root folder, so if it works for you will depend how you prefer to access your drive.
Apple - would be simpler if you just let a sidebar in Finder be dragged direct to the Dock - worth an update.

Not necessarily, if you add the root folder to the Finder sidebar as well. I have both - iCloud Drive as well as the root folder to my iCloud documents "My iCloudDrive" in the Finder sidebar and the Dock.
iCloud Drive on a Mac requires MacOS 10.10 Yosemite or newer. You need to upgrade your Mac if you want to access iCloud Drive from the Finder:

Hi, I still can't find my iCloud Drive in either Preferences or the Mobile Documents folder as suggested by LinusMoore. What to do? Im running on OS X 10.9.5 if that makes any difference.

Similarly, one can make an alias of any of these files/folders and put them in a folder, then drag that folder to the dock.
