Q: Fingerprint Setup not working

Ever since I upgraded to IOS 8 my fingerprint will not working. Whenever i go to set it up it keeps saying 'Unable to complete Touch ID setup. Please go back and try again'. I have tried again loads of times but still comes up with the same message.

Do I need to go to the apple store to get this fixed? And if so will i get charged for the service?

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.2

It won't even get to the step where you place your finger on the sensor

Same for me. Suddenly this afternoon it has just stop working... can't unlock the iphone with touch id anymore. Gonna try to restore.

If I go to the apple store to try and get it fixed will I get charged for their services? Because i am pretty sure that its a hardware problem because i know so many people with the exact same problem as me, so I know it definelty it isn't my fault.

Tried to recover. Got stucked in the middle dua an "unknow error (53)". Called support and I was informed that they gonna replace for a new one.
I'm in Brazil.
