Q: How can I get the boot camp software for the new Macbook Pro

The grep commands look for any modifications to /etc/hosts or /private/etc/hosts. Can you check what your specific values are?

Just the default localhost and broadcasthost values. Nothing else.

Tried all of those, the latest package was Feb 11th, none work (even edited the .msi to allow for install despite wrong model config).  Reinstalled OSX as well, same error.

keep me posted on this - i've got the same issue...

Just talked to Apple over the phone, who confirms the "update" for bootcamp (supporting the 2015 model)  is not out yet, despite their website hinting that it is.  Guess we have to wait!

Asked, and got "soon"...

Right now. I'm downloading it, and it's not giving any error message like before. It's still downloading right now, so we'll see.
