YYou don't have to do anything except open the library with the paid version.

Thanks, butI can't seem to do that! Both versions are on my desk and there does not seem to be a way to transfer the files. I sure don't want to delete hours of work!

YYou can't launch the application, go to File>Open library and find the the library you want? What doesn't work?

I started working in Final Cut Pro Trial on an event which covered two weeks of travel abroad. I decided that the program was just what I needed so decided to purchase it. However I cannot import the completed event from the trial version into the newly purchased version. The trial period runs out tomorrow and I'm getting frantic at the thought of losing all my work.

YYou're going to have to give details and post screen shots. The library you open is the library that you were using in the trial version. There is no change to the library. There is nothing different between the two applications.

I'm having no luck w/ screen shot. I'm heartily sick of this project but have invested too much time to give up.

There is a very great difference between the 2 apps. I cannot import my completed movie into Final Cut Pro from the FCP Trial version. I have spent several days trying to do this.

What do you mean by import the completed project? Are you talking about a file you exported from the trial version or something? The project you were working on in the trial version is inside the library you used in the trial version. You do not import the library, you simply open it from inside the application. In the browser in the library are one or more events, single star icons. Your project or projects can be in any one of the events. The project has a clapperboard icon. This should be familiar to you from using the trial version. What exactly are you doing?

To make a screen shot press Shift-Cmd-4 and drag a box around the area you want to highlight. Use the camera button in the reply box to load the image to want to add to your message.

Tom, I thought you might like an update on my problem. The Final Cut Pro trial did "die" on the expected date and my projects did not show up on the full version of Final Cut,  in the Trash or anywhere else on my computer. I had saved my work to a .mov file but, of course, could not work further with that. Greatly depressed I began to start over. I did not see how Apple could help but my husband contacted support and they retrieved my work. Unfortunately I don't know the steps that were taken to achieve this but its good to know it can be done.
