A problem with connecting my mixer to the laptop

Hi.

i got my new Dynacord powermate 600-3 mixer last night

and i connected to my macbook pro using USB wire

it works perfectly with video recording softweres like photo booth but it does not work with grage band or adobe audition

i can see that there is a connection but there is no sound 😟
