Q: how do i delete photos from my iphone?

i would like to delete photos from my iphone but i can't seem to see an option to do this.

iPhone 3GS, iOS 6.1.6

Hello johngalls,

Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.

If you'd like to delete pictures from the Photos app on your iPhone, and you're using iOS 8, use these steps from the iPhone User Guide:

Organize photos and videos - iPhone

Manage albums. While viewing your album list, tap Edit.
Delete an album: Tap .
Delete a photo or video from Photos. Tap the Photos tab, tap the photo or video, tap , then tap Delete Photo or Delete Video

not using ios 8,its an iphone 3gs running ios 6.1.6.
Have managed to delete the photos somehow.
