com.apple.geod.xpc and interpol?
Today little snitch captured a connection from com.apple.geod.xpc to interpol.int - any clue on why it tried to connect there?

It's definitely location services. I'm guessing huffpost in my case and interpol in your case were were websites we accessed in Safari that wanted location for customization purposes. You can test this - possibly - by trying either one of those sites in Safari with Little Snitch on, but those services neither disabled nor enable and see if you get asked again.
For me com.apple.geod.xpc is accessing www.huffingtonpost.com and gsp1.apple.com - the latter apparently being associated with the Apple Store. I suspect this is a locations services thing - the "geod" sounds like it might be geography demon or something - but I would like to figure out why mine is calling to HuffPost and how I turn off whatever I may have turned on inadvertently.
