am i charged just for turning icloud drive on?
Accidentally turned on icloud drive. Do they start billing me as soon as I hit upgrade? I never got a prompt saying this cost money?

Your 5GB of free iCloud Storage is used by iCloud Drive, so unless you specifically upgrade your iCloud Storage, there is no charge (this is different than upgrading to iCloud Drive, which simply means that you are changing from using Documents in the Cloud):
