Ipad freezes when I attempt to install iOS 8.2

My ipad has downloaded the latest iOS update (8.2).

1. In Settings / General I select 'Install Now'

2. A 'Terms and Conditions' pop up appears, I select 'Agree'

3. A second smaller 'Terms and Conditions' pop up appears over the first pop up, I select 'Agree' again

4. The second pop up disappears leaving the first pop up open and nothing else happens.

5. The Settings App is now frozen

Am I doing something wrong?

Hi there astrogeo,

As I understand it, your Settings app becomes completely unresponive when you try to install an upate that it downloaded. I would start by quitting the Settings app:

iOS: Force an app to close

Double-click the Home button.

Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.

Swipe the app up to close it.

When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:

iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

If the issue persists, use this part of the article about troubleshooting updating in this manner:

Resolve issues with an over-the-air iOS update

If the issue persists, try updating your device in another network or use iTunes to update your device. Learn more about iOS updates.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
