A very strange issue started out of the blue a couple of days ago. I have my gmail account forwarding to my iCloud (me.com). My friend asked me if I got his email the other day, never went through. After some testing I found out that all of a sudden Gmail messages are not being forwarded or sent to my iCloud. Some are even bouncing back. Any idea what the problem might be? Why would it start out of the blue?
Update:
I just had a bunch of emails come through via gmail to iCloud, but way late. Some where from yesterday, some from this morning. Some haven't come through yet. So it appears the major problem is that there is a severe lag.

Hi. I'm in the same situation, even try some steps about empty history and cache in Safari.
Nothing worked.
iCloud Mail is reported as OK by Apple but I've send several mails today for my company and clients complained about not receiving the emails!
Really disappointed.
Let us know if this get fixed please!
The emails are coming through all of a sudden, no problems. This is weird! I hope it does not turn into a recurring problem...

Yes, have checked Gmail. Everything is as it was before. No changes.

ah, I misunderstood the thread. I don't forward gmail to iCloud, but I am getting major delays from people with gmail that send me emails. Some delays over 24 hours and some still haven't arrived. Just started over the past couple of days.
There are a couple of other threads relating to email delays with Gmail, both fairly new. This looks like Gmails issue.
I'm having the same problem: gmail is being forwarded wait late and/or I'm getting notifications the delivery failure notification. Very annoying.
Actually having both things happen. People who emailed me from gmail, and forwarding from my gmail to iCloud. Definitely seems like a google thing at this point.
I've been having the same issue for a couple of days. It is very irritating. I hope Apple or Google will resolve this issue soon. I haven't received any of my forwarded gmail emails for a few hours today.
I'm having the same problem and forwarding is turned on. The emails eventually arrive but are delayed, sometimes over 48 hours. I talked to apple; they said it was gmail. I went through gmail's online help and send them a trouble ticket which included the raw header. Hopefully someone at gmail will look at it and get back to me. --Pam
