I want it for an iBook G3 clamshell I'm working on, but I cannot seem to find it for a reasonable price. Amazon's prices are particularly ridiculous (some sellers listed open box copies for more than I paid for the iBook G3, on eBay.)

That's what happens when something is in high demand and low supply. There's nothing much you can do about it but bite the bullet and pay the tariff.
Contact the App Store directly and they will provide a "key" that you can use to download Tiger. You won't find this online --you have to call Apple.
They will not. Tiger was never a downloadable version of OS X. It was only available on DVD.
Where can I find Mac OS X Tiger for a reasonable price?
