Group messages coming in as HTML or Base 64

Hey all,

This morning, I started receiving messages containing either HTML or Base64 code, along with a bunch of extra information. One such message (one that seemed focused on Base64) looks like this:

This text simply said "It's cookers btw"

Another message I received came in HTML with extra information, as follows:

This text just said "Not lou's"

This is occurring in group texts where not all users have iMessage. Any idea why this could be the case? Thanks!

Update: I have T-mobile, but my friend is on Verizon. She is receiving the HTML messages from me and I am receiving them from her. Carrier problem?

Yup, also having this issue. iPhone 6 with 8.1.2 on T-Mobile.

About to upgrade to 8.2 to see if that fixes it by chance.

FYI on one of the TMobile forums someone said this might be an issue if you have Wi-Fi calling enabled. Might be worth trying with that turned off?

I'm on the iOS 8.3 public beta build and I'm getting the problem as well. At first I thought it was the beta software as I just updated last night. But it appears it's a carrier issue. I'm on T-Mobile and i've had the text issue from users (both iOS and Android) on ATT, Sprint and Verizon. Though a friend on I think Verizon missed texts all together from myself and another friend on ATT.

I tried disabling WiFi Calling and still received the HTM/Base 64 text messages.

Same issue, but I'm a Note 4 user on T-Mobile. Started today about an hour or two ago.

Just spoke with TMO support and they know it's going on.

I just got off the phone with T-Mobile customer service. They are indeed having issues with text messaging. They said they are working on it, but there's no ETA for the fix.

Same issue Iphone 4 ios 7! Its a coincidence that this all of a sudden started happening same day with different carriers and versions....I have Tmobile btw

The text message problem is a T-Mobile issue. They said they are working on a fix.

Just got off the phone with TMobile and they know about the issue and said it's going to take a few days to fix. Could be Monday or Tuesday before it's fixed. She also told me to delete all my group messages and reset my network settings.
