Q: Spotlight is CRAZY

Hi, guys:

About this mac says my new MacbookPro Retina 13' mid-2014 has 90GB of apps, whereas I only have 13. Moreover, it says that there are 33GB of free space, but the bar does not seem to indicate so. I don't get it. If I force Spotlight to reindex, it does the same over and over again. If I force it to re-index only some folders or whatever, it fails and does this **** again. Please, can anyone bring light to this? I was annoyed by the "Others" category, but today I see that category as a minor issue.

Your indexing problem seems to be chronic in Yosemite. If Spotlight reindexing does not solve it, the only possible solution may be a reinstall. I would be prone to just ignore it.
