Caller unable to leave voicemail on iPhone 6

Within the last couple of weeks callers have reported to me that they get disconnected prior to leaving a message, or when they get to start recording their voicemail, a recording comes on stating that they can't hear the callers voice. AT&T has no clue what is going on. Any help would really be appreciated!

Thank you,

Austin

Ask AT&T to make sure that your account is provisioned for Visual Voicemail for the iPhone. If they say it is, then ask them to reset your voicemail account. As FoxFifth said, voicemail is a carrier function. If they reset it, it should fix any issues that you might have. Voicemail is controlled and resides on the AT&T servers. All you do with the iPhone is retrieve it. The inability to leave a voicemail by callers is an AT&T issue.

Voicemail issues like that don't involve the iPhone as the phone isn't involved at that point. Consider for example that if you turn your phone completely off and then someone calls you; the call and the voicemail recording are handled entirely by your carrier and your phone is not and can not be involved in any way as it is off; it is a very similar situation when a call goes to voicemail because you are on another call. That doesn't help resolve your problem but may help you research what it is that is happening.
